Fruit Trees

HIGH-TECH AGRICULTURE

The future of extensive agriculture

Fruit crops, mostly with a long cycle and belonging to diverse taxonomic families, are generally cultivated over large areas and are destined for fresh consumption due to their high content of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Examples of these crops include orange, mango, avocado, pineapple, strawberry, mandarin, cherry, apple, melon, and acorn. Fruit quality varies depending on the growing area.

To apply fertilizers efficiently, it is essential to know both the richness of the soil and the needs of the crop, which is determined by foliar analysis.

Fruit trees require fertilization after winter rest, following this order: first nitrogen, in spring, to stimulate vegetative development; then phosphorus, during flowering and fruit set, since it provides energy and facilitates photosynthesis; and finally potassium, in the fruit hardening stage, essential for its development, resistance to diseases and frost, and activation of enzymatic reactions.
